Return to Self: Coffee as a Nervous System Reset
Your intention is simple:
Less force. More softness.
Let your coffee become a moment of return to self that signals safety to your body.
Step 1 — Create a quiet moment (30 seconds)
Before your first sip, pause.
Let your shoulders drop.
Unclench your jaw.
Relax your belly.
Nothing needs to be fixed right now.
Step 2 — Sip slowly (3 mindful sips)
Take 3 slow sips — not scrolling, not rushing.
Just sipping.
With each sip, silently say:

I am safe.

I don’t have to push.
Step 3 — One sentence journaling prompt
If you have a journal nearby, write this (no more than 1 minute):
“Where am I forcing something that doesn’t require force?”
